Choosing Gutter Guard Installation in Colorado Springs

The right guard depends on the gutters beneath it and the debris around your home. High Valley Roofing installs micro-mesh and screen options. We review the existing system before recommending the product and installation scope.

Gutter Guard Installation pricing

$12–$16 per linear foot

Both 5-inch and 6-inch gutter guards are available. This range is for budgeting purposes only, not a quote. We measure your gutters and confirm the selected product, installation scope, and project-specific estimate. You do not need to supply measurements.

Micro-mesh and screen options

Micro-mesh uses a fine mesh to help limit debris entering the gutter. Screen guards cover the gutter opening to help keep leaves and larger debris out. Product fit, nearby trees, roof layout, and cleaning requirements all deserve consideration; one style is not automatically the right choice for every home.

We discuss your preferred option and the condition of the gutter runs. Both 5-inch and 6-inch guard options are available, with the selected product and fit confirmed in your estimate.

Prepare the gutters before adding guards

Installing a cover over existing buildup does not solve the cleaning problem. We begin with gutter cleaning, including removal of old compacted material, and assess the system before installing guards. Any leaks, loose supports, or damaged sections need a separate repair discussion.

If the underlying gutter is failing, Gutter repairs or Gutter Replacement may be the appropriate first step. We explain what the assessment finds so you can approve the scope.

Reduced buildup, with ongoing care

Guards can help reduce the debris entering gutters, but they do not eliminate inspection or periodic cleaning. Material can still accumulate on the guard surface or in parts of the drainage system. Keep the selected product’s care requirements in mind when comparing options.

Fit and water flow at installation

We check the underlying gutter slope and condition before securely fitting the selected guards. Cleaning and any agreed repairs come first. After installation, we check water flow and explain the product’s care requirements, including clearing debris that can collect on the guard surface.

When gutter guards can help

Repeated clogs, pine needles collecting in gutters, and leaves or twigs beneath overhanging trees are reasons to consider guards. Limiting the debris entering the gutter can reduce buildup and help keep runoff moving through the drainage system. We assess the existing gutters first because overflow may also involve slope, downspouts, or damage.

A product example and a clean starting point

LeafBlaster Pro is one gutter-guard example shown in our work. We confirm the selected product and fit for your home before installation. Preparation starts with gutter cleaning: loose debris is blown out, then the gutters are cleaned with water to remove old decomposed material. Any necessary repairs are discussed before the guards are fitted.

How Gutter Guard Installation works

Clear next steps, from your first question to the agreed work.

Step 1: Inspect the gutters and choose the guard

We assess gutter condition, downspouts, nearby trees and debris, and the fit of micro-mesh or screen options.

Step 2: Clean and prepare the system

We clear existing debris, clean with water, and complete any agreed repairs to loose or damaged sections before adding guards.

Step 3: Fit the guards securely

We install the selected guards with attention to gutter slope, fit, and secure attachment.

Step 4: Check water flow and explain care

We check the completed system and water flow, then explain periodic inspection and cleaning, including debris on the guard surface.

Common questions

Which gutter guards do you install?

We install micro-mesh and screen options, including products for 5-inch and 6-inch gutters. We review gutter condition, nearby debris, and the selected product's fit and care requirements.

What are the downsides of gutter guards?

They do not eliminate maintenance. Debris can accumulate on the surface, and the system still needs periodic checks and cleaning. Guards also do not repair damaged gutters or fix every drainage issue. We review the existing gutters before recommending installation.

What does Gutter Guard Installation cost?

Gutter guards are $12–$16 per linear foot. Both 5-inch and 6-inch gutter guards are available. This range is for budgeting purposes only, not a quote. We assess and measure your gutters, confirm the selected product and installation scope, and provide a project-specific estimate. You do not need to supply measurements.

Can guards be fitted to my existing gutters?

Often, yes, when the existing gutters are in suitable condition and the selected guard fits the system. We inspect the gutter runs, supports, slope, and downspouts first and explain any cleaning or repairs needed before installation.

Can gutter guards be installed with new gutters?

Yes. Guards can be considered while planning new or replacement gutters, so the product and gutter system can be reviewed together. We discuss the option and its cost separately; guards are not required with every new gutter installation.
